Eric Dearborn

His mother is Black and his father is White. A model and actor who has been a print and catalogue model for Abercrombie & Fitch, Wilson's Leather, Old Navy, Nike and Levi. He also appeared in Music Videos, the movie Bedazzled and the television shows MTV Undressed and All My Children portraying "Gabriel Devane". He is also the nephew of Sue Simmons.


Kimora Lee Simmons

Her father is Black her mother is Japanese (from an article in New York Magazine). She became a force in the fashion world at the tender age of 13, when designer Karl Lagerfeld hand-picked her to represent the face of the fashion house of Chanel. She provided the partnership and inspiration for Baby Phat (Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons women's counterpart to Phat Farm), overseeing the design of the line as Creative Director. She also hosts Russell Simmons' Oneworld Music Beat.


Shakara Ledard

Her mother is Caribbean (from the Bahamas) and her father is French Normandy descent (from Phenommag.com). The editors and casting people at Sports Illustrated, had seen Shakara in Vibe magazine in a Mecca jeans and got her into their annual swimsuit edition. She is also a Victoria's Secret model.


Carole Hand

She says on her website, "I am African-American, Native American, Black Irish, English and much more. I am Creole." She is best know for her Jazz-inspired paintings. She's been dedicated to her art for 3 plus decades.


Elizabeth Atkins Bowman

Her mother is Black and her father was White. A former reporter on race relations for The Detroit News and Best selling author of White Chocolate, Dark Secret and Twilight. At Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism she wrote her graduate thesis on being biracial. The New York Times published a segment of her thesis on the growing number of groups for mixed race students on campuses from Stanford to Harvard. That generated a flurry of interest and landed her on the CBS News with Dan Rather, Our Voices with Bev Smith on BET, Good Morning America Sunday, and The Faith Daniels Show.


Dorian McLaine

His mother is Black and Mexican his father is Black and White. A model with the Q Model Management. He has modeled for The Gap, Replay, Skechers, Droog, GQ, and is in Janet Jacksons "Someone to Call My Lover" video.


Aneesa

From MTV.com "The younger of two children, Aneesa is the product of an interracial marriage--her father is black and her mother is Jewish." She is on the current cast of MTV's the Real World, set in Chicago.


Paulina Christina Hinton

Her mother is White (Austrian/Swedish) and her father is African American and part Cherokee Indian. She is a model and actress. She was Miss Alberta Canada Venus Swim Wear 2000, Miss Alberta Canada Hawaiian Tropics 2001, Miss Alberta Canada Molson Indi Sports Model 2001, and Miss Western Canada World Of Wheels 2002.


Derek Alton Walcott

According to Britanica.com he was of mixed Black, Dutch, and English descent. He was a West Indian poet and playwright noted for works that explore the Caribbean cultural experience. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1992.


Irulan (Real World 12)

Erika Harold

From an AP article: Her mother is part black, part American Indian and part Russian; her father, Robert, is Greek, German, Welsh and English. Miss America 2003 a 22-year-old Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Illinois, was to enroll this fall at Harvard law school but put it off so she could compete in the Miss America Pageant.


Karim Rashid

According to his website he was, "born in Cairo, Egypt in 1960; Half-English, half Egyptian and raised mostly in Canada." He is the best-known and most prolific young designer practicing in America today, he is already a superstar among design aficionados. He is the author of more than two hundred designs, ranging from coat racks to mailboxes, perfume packaging to lighting, tableware to high fashion. His work is in the collections of museums worldwide, including The Museum of Modern Art, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and The Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts. He recently published the book Karim Rashid : I Want to Change the World.


Jehan Sadat

Her mother is British and her father is Egyptian. She was the first lady of Egypt from 1970 to 1981. She used her platform as the first lady to touch the lives of millions, change the world’s image of Arab women, and fulfill her own life-long yearning for participation and service. She is the recipient of national and international awards for public service and humanitarian efforts for women and children. She also received more than 20 honorary doctorate degrees from national and international colleges and universities. She has published an autobiography, A Woman of Egypt, as well as poetry in Arabic.
